We are looking for an experienced archivist for a security-classified consulting assignment in central Stockholm. The assignment is a parental leave cover starting in April/May and involves qualified work within both archives and registries. The role entails a varied everyday life where you work with both ongoing registry tasks and independent archival work including investigation, archiving, and digital archive management. The assignment lasts for nine months with the possibility of extension and some flexibility regarding remote work.

About the assignment

We are looking for an Archivist for a parental leave cover. This is a consulting assignment that involves work within archives and registries, where 20-30% consists of registry work and the remaining archival work includes investigation and archiving.

The assignment starts in April/May and lasts for nine months, with a chance for extension. The work takes place on-site at the client's premises in central Stockholm, with some possibility for remote work in agreement with the responsible manager.

The assignment is security-classified, which means that a security review will be conducted before employment.

Your tasks

The assignment includes work with registry and archival tasks, examples of tasks include:

• archive maintenance

• release of public documents

• archiving

• digital archive management

Your qualifications

• University education in archival science or equivalent knowledge acquired through extensive work experience as an archivist.

• At least three years of work experience in registry and archival work, including archive maintenance, release of public documents, archiving, and digital archive management.

• At least one year of experience in the above tasks from public sector work.

• Experience and interest in providing service to colleagues.

• Knowledge and experience in one of the market's larger diary systems.

• Familiarity with laws and regulations governing public operations and the archivist's function and responsibilities.

• Knowledge of standards such as OAIS, METS, PREMIS, and PAIMAS.

To be qualified for the assignment, you need to provide two references confirming that you have worked as an Archivist in the public sector.

Meritorious

• Familiarity with laws and regulations governing public operations and the function and responsibilities of archivists.

• Several years of experience working with information security, good knowledge of GDPR.

• Several years of experience in archiving investigations.

• Several years of experience in how work is conducted in e-archives.
